19to22
19to22
Before I read paragraph 19 to 22, there are mainly 3 sorts of showoffs in the essay that the author had mentioned----competitive showoffs, narcissistic showoffs, insecure showoffs. There are times when showing off may be forgivable and maybe[may be]even acceptable. But first let’s take a look at showing off that is offensive, that’s not acceptable, tha
t’s never nice. We know that competitive showoffs and narcissistic showoffs are not acceptable. And insecure showoffs are forgivable. So when it comes to paragraph 19 to 22, I read it quickly by read-through. I find that the author give[gives] us the fourth sorts of showoffs-----exulting. Then I read it carefully. The word “BUT” in the middle of paragraph 19 confuses me. In my view, the purpose of the author using “BUT” is told us that her showoffs--- exulting is a forgivable form of showing off. Turning to paragraphs[paragraph]20 to 22., the author give [givesus 3 kinds of exulting. So in my understanding, showing offs is very hard to be restrained sometimes, that is why we try to forgive each of us for showing off.
