香草生长连续观察日记

　　4月29日星期一雨

　　今天，我和妈妈一起种香草。

　　香草的种子黑色，呈卵形，比蚕籽稍大一点儿。用鼻子嗅，可以闻到一股独特的香味，沁人心脾。就连碰过它的手，都可以久久留香呢！

　　这时，妈妈拿起小铁铲，把盆里的泥土自上而下，由内而外地仔细翻松。接下来，就是香草种子回归泥土妈妈怀抱的时刻啦！我沿着花盆，把种子绕着圈，均匀地撒在黝黑的泥土上。之后，再用铁铲小心翼翼地在种子身上盖上一层泥土“被子”，这给种子盖被子可有讲究啦：盖得太厚，种子力量微弱，冲不破泥土；盖得太薄，种子吸收不到充足的营养，发芽势必也会受到影响。我用小铁铲将撒在香草种子上的泥土一一抚平，之后，开始浇水。

　　香草耐干不耐湿，所以浇水不宜过多。我按妈妈教的方法，拿起喷水壶不间断地向泥土喷洒，直到泥土湿润为止。在泥土中喝饱水的香草种子会自己往泥土里“钻”，而后生根发芽。这样浇水渗透力强，且不会造成水多烂根。

　　接下来，就只是漫长的等待了，香草什么时候才能发芽呢？还是个未知数。但我相信，在它长大的时候，一株株碧绿色的香草随风摇曳，浓郁的芳香填满房间，饱满的果实挂满枝头，一切是那样的美好惬意，那样的安宁快乐。

　　经过11天的漫长等待，我可爱的香草种子们终于发芽了！

　　当我无意中走到阳台，想去看看那些花花草草时，却惊讶地发现：在撒满香草种子的花盆里，一棵棵碧绿的嫩芽儿，覆盖了黝黑的土壤，正努力地向上生长呢！它们大多只长出第一对真叶，那真叶真是小得可爱：纤细的茎上，一对毛茸茸的叶儿在那里“安家”，它们小小的，呈椭圆形，嫩绿的叶面上，细长的叶脉清晰可见，靠近一闻，一股淡淡的清香瞬间沁入心脾。

　　这真叶虽小，却标志着植物生长的第一步。同样，茎也是不可缺少的一部分。它可以让香草须根吸收的水分顺利到达叶面，从而更好地促进香草的生长。

　　由此可见，在一株植物中，须根、茎、叶，是必不可少的.部分，因为有了它们，我可爱的香草才能茁壮成长。真不知道香草何时才能长出第二对真叶？我想：那样的情景一定令我这个种植者倍感兴奋吧！

　　5月11日星期六晴

　　今天，我的香草长出了第二对真叶，这可真是一件振奋人心的事！

　　这时，我发现：香草真叶的生长方向与众不同。它并不像其他植物的叶子那样依着顺序，向一个方向生长。而是在第一对真叶的基础上，朝相反方向长出第二对真叶，如第一对真叶是南北方向生长，那么第二对新长出的真叶则是东西方向生长，从而成为一个“十”字形。上网一查，原来香草属十字花科，怪不得它的叶片生长方向如此特别呢！

　　此时，原先长出的第一对真叶已摇身一变，从细小变成了宽大，颜色也由浅绿变为深绿，成为这株“香草家族”的“大哥”。想必这一对“大哥”为“新叶小弟弟”的萌发，一定牺牲了许多本应属于它们的营养吧！

　　快快长大吧，可爱的香草。希望在你变为碧绿成株的时候，是有阳光和鲜花的，到时，我会和它们一起为你祝贺
