双语儿童寓言故事 篇一

The Wise Owl and the Curious Squirrel

Once upon a time in a lush forest, there lived a wise old owl named Oliver and a curious young squirrel named Sammy. Oliver was known throughout the forest for his wisdom and Sammy was always eager to learn new things.

One day, Sammy approached Oliver and asked, "Why do you stay awake at night, while the rest of us sleep peacefully?"

Oliver replied, "I stay awake to watch over the forest and keep everyone safe. It is my duty as the wisest creature here."

Sammy was intrigued and wanted to learn more from Oliver. So, he asked, "Can you teach me how to be wise like you?"

Oliver thought for a moment and said, "Wisdom comes with age and experience, but I can teach you the importance of patience and observation. Pay attention to the world around you and you will learn valuable lessons."

From that day on, Sammy would spend his days observing the forest and learning from Oliver. He learned to listen to the wind, watch the animals interact, and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Years passed and Sammy grew wiser with each passing day. He became known as the second wisest creature in the forest, after Oliver. And he never forgot the valuable lessons he had learned from the wise old owl.

The moral of the story is that wisdom is gained through patience, observation, and a willingness to learn from those who are wiser than us.

双语儿童寓言故事 篇二

The Ant and the Grasshopper

In a sunny meadow, there lived an ant named Andy and a grasshopper named Greg. Andy was a hardworking ant who spent his days gathering food for the winter, while Greg was a carefree grasshopper who loved to sing and dance all day.

One day, as Andy was busy collecting grains of wheat, he saw Greg hopping around and asked, "Why don't you gather food for the winter like me? You will need it when the cold season comes."

Greg laughed and replied, "I don't need to worry about the future. I prefer to enjoy life in the present moment."

Andy shook his head in disbelief but continued to work diligently, storing food in his underground burrow. As the days turned into weeks and the weather grew colder, Greg began to realize his mistake.

One day, when the snow started falling, Greg found himself hungry and cold. He went to Andy's burrow and asked for help. Andy welcomed him in and shared his food with the grasshopper.

Greg was grateful for Andy's kindness and promised to work hard in the future. From that day on, he learned the importance of preparation and hard work.

The moral of the story is that hard work and preparation are essential for a secure future, and it is important to balance enjoying the present moment with planning for what lies ahead.

perfect peace and amity. The Hare said, "Oh, how I have longed to see this day, in which the weak shall take their place with impunity by the side of the strong." And after the Hare said this, he ran for his life.

An old man was gathering sticks in a forest.

At last he grew very tired and hopeless. He threw down all the sticks and cried out, "I cannot bear this life any longer. Ah, I wish Death would come and take me!"

As he spoke, Death appeared, and said to him, "What would you do, old man? I heard you call me."

"Please, sir," replied the old man, "would you help me lift this bundle of sticks up to my shoulder?"

A crow, ready to die with thirst, flew with joy to a pitcher which he saw at a distance. But when he came up to it, he found the water so low that with all his stooping and straining he was unable to reach it. Thereupon he tried to bread the pitcher, then to overturn it, seeing some small pebbles at hand, he dropped a great many of them, one by one, into the pitcher, and so raised the water to the brim, and quenched his thirst.
