第三天四更时诸葛亮把鲁肃请到船里一起去取箭。诸葛亮算好了今日会起大雾也算好了曹操生性多疑于是就这样借到了10万多支箭。诸葛亮还让士兵齐谢曹操的箭,曹操这才晓得上当了,可追也追不上了。
鲁肃回来后告诉了周喻借箭的经过,周喻听了自叹不如诸葛亮。
