二是该书以篇章细分,比较适合零存整取式阅读,所以也就很能避免前读后忘的尴尬。说起林肯,凡是稍微由点历史常识的人都听说过。印象里他应该是那种形象高大、谈吐幽默,极具人格魅力的人。但是让我大跌眼镜的是,现实中的林肯却是那么的懦弱。大而言之,命运;小而说之自己的终身大事都不能做主。这样的人怎么会成为美国历史上极具影响力的总统呢?无怪乎在南北战争中林肯频繁换帅,面临不信任案,又让战火多燃烧了2年……是林肯那个凶蛮的夫人把他“逼”上了政界的辉煌?是政界的私人恩怨阴差阳错的使林肯成为了美国第16届总统?是李将军的骄傲冒进造成了南方军的失败?是北方军的胜利保住了林肯的地位?是美国历史上唯一的这场内战成就了林肯的名声?我想或许正如那篇当年没人在意的盖茨堡“擦不亮”,许多在当时今世看上去微不足道的事情人物,有时却能在历史的坐标轴上找到属于自己的永恒地位。当然,我想现实中的林肯绝不是一无是处的。比如他刻苦、博学、幽默、善辩。历史教科书上林肯形象的高大化兴许就是因着南北战争的重要意义。可是如果美国不是现在的美国,林肯又能在历史的恒河中留下多少印迹呢?正如他常念到的诗:人啊,你有什么可骄傲的?平凡如浪花一朵。但即便平凡,也请追逐精彩,哪怕只是短暂的一瞬。兴许在一千年以后,你成为了某书中的主角。因为,历史用故事记载才传奇。

我的外公叫黄庆义,祖籍安徽阜阳,生于1945年12月末。他是一个酷爱学习、孝顺、独立能干的人。

我的外公在上小学时,连续几年都在闹灾荒,粮食减产严重,普通人家都只能吃野菜、观音土,啃树皮度日,常常是吃了上顿没下顿。我的外公说:“那个时候是真的苦啊,每天都是忍饥挨饿。”因此我外公的父母先后都饿死了,只留下我外公和年幼的弟弟。有一次我外公在学校饿的不行,班主任看见后送给我外公一个馍馍,我外公舍不得吃,只吃了一半想留一半给家里的弟弟吃,就偷偷的溜到学校外的墙角把馍馍埋进土里,可等放学后外公来墙角找时,馍馍不翼而飞了,我外公大哭一场,当我外公回到家时,发现弟弟已经饿死了。从此以后,外公便开始自己照顾自己。我听着都觉得无法承受如此大的打击。

后来,饥荒过去了,我的外公升入了中学。因为父母双亡,他只能边打工边读书。据他自己的回忆,他那时候每天早晨天不亮就起床,自己洗漱完毕后,就跑到早摊铺帮别人卖油条,这经常一站就是两个小时,且无论刮风下雨,都雷打不动。但就是这样辛苦了一个学期也只能挣一点点钱,常常饥一顿饱一顿的。他在中学期间,我外公刻苦学习,成绩尤为突出,次次考试都名列前茅,也是老师的好助手,时常帮老师批改试卷。因为成绩优异学校还减免了他的学费,就这样我外公才能顺利的读书。

日复一日,年复一年,一晃六年过去了,我外公参加高考,成绩相当优异,全国任何大学都可以报考。但由于外公有一个大爷在上海,去上海读书有人照应,会相对轻松一些,而且他也深受学校教导主任的影响,教导主任帮他选择了同济大学的土木工程系。听到这里,我越发敬佩我的外公,敬佩他的自律与独立。

在大学期间,外公仍旧对自己没有丝毫的放松,反而更加严格。每天都在刻苦的学习,每个学期都能拿到奖学金。

大学毕业后,由于外公成绩过于优秀,免去了实习期,直接分配到上饶建筑段,在技术科担任技术员负责设计图纸,在此期间和同事一起参与设计还获得了许多荣誉,由于工作出色被提升为段长,负责上饶党校的建造,并且作为总工程师设计了党校大楼。几年后,外公被调到南昌铁路局房建处,当上了处长,在此期间参与设计了铁路九村。由此,我的外公真是一个工作能力出色的人。

外公十分热爱他的工作,每天都工作得比别人久,常常是等人都走光了才会离开工作岗位,逢年过节也不例外。

我的外公是十分孝顺的人,在他与外婆结婚后,十分照顾我的曾祖母,我的曾祖母卧病在床十年,在她卧病在床时为她擦背洗脸,喂水喂饭,不辞辛劳,而且也在我曾祖父去世后,为他风风光光地办了一场葬礼,忙前忙后,十分劳累,却任劳任怨。而且外公每个周末还会给曾祖父曾祖母做煤饼,从未落下一次。

如今,我的外公早已退休,但他的一生却令我动容,让我感受到我有一个独立、能干、孝顺和热爱工作及学习的好外公。
