Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday that is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. The festival is known for its dragon boat races, zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), and various other customs and traditions.
The name "Dragon Boat Festival" comes from the popular activity of dragon boat racing that takes place during the festival. Dragon boats are long, narrow boats decorated with dragon heads and tails. Teams of rowers paddle the boats to the beat of a drum, competing to be the first to reach the finish line. The races are not only exciting to watch but also a way to honor the ancient Chinese poet and patriot Qu Yuan, whose death is believed to have inspired the tradition.
In addition to dragon boat races, another important aspect of the Dragon Boat Festival is the eating of zongzi. Zongzi are pyramid-shaped dumplings made of glutinous rice stuffed with various fillings such as pork, beans, and dates, and wrapped in bamboo leaves. They are traditionally eaten during the festival to ward off evil spirits and commemorate Qu Yuan.
Other customs associated with the Dragon Boat Festival include hanging up images of Zhong Kui (a mythological figure believed to protect against evil spirits), wearing perfume pouches, and drinking realgar wine (a traditional Chinese wine believed to repel insects and evil spirits).
Overall, the Dragon Boat Festival is a time for Chinese people to come together to celebrate their cultural heritage, honor their ancestors, and enjoy the summer season. It is a festival filled with excitement, delicious food, and meaningful traditions that have been passed down through generations.

(Yang Cale
可以说成是the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese calendar,也可以说成the fifth day of the fifth lunar month。
