儿童英语小故事 篇一
Title: The Magic Paintbrush
Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a young girl named Lily. Lily loved to paint and would spend hours drawing beautiful pictures of the world around her. However, she only had one old paintbrush that was starting to lose its bristles.
One day, as Lily was walking through the forest, she stumbled upon a mysterious old man. The old man saw Lily's love for painting and decided to give her a special gift - a magic paintbrush. He told Lily that this paintbrush had the power to bring anything she painted to life.
Excited, Lily ran home and started painting with her new magic paintbrush. She painted a tree and watched in amazement as it grew right before her eyes. She painted a bird and it flew off the page. Lily was overjoyed with her new gift and spent days painting all sorts of wonderful things.
One day, the greedy village mayor heard about Lily's magic paintbrush and decided he wanted it for himself. He snuck into Lily's house and stole the paintbrush while she was asleep. The next morning, Lily woke up to find her precious paintbrush was gone.
Determined to get it back, Lily set out to find the mayor. She found him in his office, painting piles of gold coins. Lily demanded he return her paintbrush, but the mayor refused. In anger, Lily grabbed the paintbrush and painted a fierce dragon that chased the mayor out of the village.
From that day on, Lily kept her magic paintbrush safe and continued to use it to bring beauty and happiness to the world around her. And whenever she painted, the colors seemed to dance and sparkle with a special magic that only she could create.
儿童英语小故事 篇二
Title: The Lost Kitten
One sunny afternoon, a little girl named Emily was playing in her backyard when she heard a faint meowing sound. She followed the sound and discovered a tiny kitten hiding behind some bushes. The kitten looked scared and lost, so Emily decided to take it in and care for it.
Emily named the kitten Whiskers and fed it some milk. Whiskers purred happily and snuggled up to Emily, grateful for the kindness she had shown. Emily knew she couldn't keep Whiskers as her parents were allergic to cats, so she decided to find Whiskers' owner.
She put up posters around the neighborhood, asking if anyone had lost a kitten. Days went by, but no one came forward to claim Whiskers. Emily was starting to worry when she remembered the old lady who lived at the end of the street. She had mentioned once that her cat had run away.
Emily went to the old lady's house and knocked on the door. When the old lady saw Whiskers, tears filled her eyes. She had been devastated when her cat had gone missing and had been searching for her everywhere. She hugged Whiskers tightly and thanked Emily for bringing her back.
The old lady offered Emily a reward for finding Whiskers, but Emily refused. Seeing how happy the old lady was to have her cat back was reward enough for her. The old lady insisted on giving Emily a small token of her appreciation - a handmade bracelet with a kitten charm.
Emily smiled and thanked the old lady for the gift. She knew that Whiskers belonged with her rightful owner and was glad she could help reunite them. As she walked back home, Emily felt happy knowing that she had made a difference in Whiskers' life and the old lady's. And she knew that she would always cherish the memory of the lost kitten she had found and returned.
儿童英语小故事 篇三
THE FATHER AND HIS SONS(父亲和他的儿子)
Father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarrelling among themselves. When he failed to heal their disputes by his exhortations, he determined to give them a practical illustration of the evils of disunion; and for this purpose he one day told them to bring him a bundle of sticks. When they had done so, he placed the faggot into the hands of each of them in succession, and ordered them to break it in pieces. They each tried with all their strength, and were not able to do it.
He next unclosed the faggot, and took the sticks separately, one by one, and again put them into their hands, on which they broke them easily. He then addressed them in these words: “My sons, if you are of one mind, and unite to assist each other, you will be as this faggot, uninjured by all the attempts of your enemies; but if you are pided among yourselves, you will be broken as easily as these sticks.”
