  【摘要】大学英语作为大学课程体系不可或缺的组成部分,几经改革创新取得了显著的教学成果,但仍然存在着对大学生思辨能力培养重视度不足的问题。而思辨能力的培养是大学生熟练使用英语进行交流并成为高素质人才的关键,基于此,本文从阐述思辨能力的概念入手,深入分析了目前大学英语教学过程中学生思辨能力培养现状,最后提出了构建大学英语教学思辨能力培养模式的具体对策,旨在为切实提高大学生的思辨能力,全面提升大学英语教学效果提供参考借鉴。

  引言

  随着我国素质教育的逐步推进和高等教育改革的稳步实施,思辨能力培养已经成为教育界、心理学界普遍关注的热点。它作为高等教育培养的基本目标,是重要的教育任务和教学关键。我国作为一个发展中国家,自上世纪八十年代才引入思辨能力这一概念,才开始注重对思辨能力的培养,由于起步较晚,对思辨能力培养的重视度不足,尚未建立完善的教学培养模式,致使我国大学生的思辨能力培养受到制约,使大学生个人能力的提升和综合素质的全面发展受到影响,因此,在大学英语教学中构建思辨能力培养模式意义十分重大。

  一、思辨能力的概念阐述思辨能力

  作为技能概念的一种自20世纪60年代产生,80年代开始被引入我国。一直以来,专家和学者们对思辨能力的概念界定观点不一,未形成明确的定义。但是将思辨能力概括为一种反思性的核心能力,通过利用相关的技能和知识来判断事情[1]上形成了共识。在大学英语教学中培养思辨能力,可从认知和精神两方面入手,通过对思辨能力理论知识的培养,使大学生具备理论品质。

  二、大学英语教学思辨能力培养现状分析

  随着我国大学英语教学改革的深入推进,大学英语教学虽取得了一定成果,但其在教学过程和教学成果中暴露出的问题也不容忽视,特别是大学生英语思辨能力的培养仍明显重视度不足,培养模式也存在一些问题,集中表现在以下几个方面:一是对大学生逻辑思维能力培养的重视度不够。大多数英语教师受传统教学观念和教学方式的影响颇深,沿用老套的机械记忆法开展英语教学,虽然对巩固大学生的英语基础起到一定作用,但是却起不到培养学生思辨能力的作用。正是由于在教学过程中教师对学生逻辑思维和思辨能力培养的重视度不够,致使很多大学生在遇到提炼主题、阐述过程和分析原因等类型的题目时,不知从何下手,思维出现断档,即便写出了答案,也是思路模糊,逻辑性差,有的甚至答非所问、词不达意。二是忽视了理性思维与感性认识的有机协调。大学生很多认识仍停留在感性层面与自身和教师均有很大关系,学生平时懒于思考,教师也大多引导学生进行感性认识,没能培养学生理性探究意识,没能引导学生透过表象去深入挖掘本质,未能实现感性认识与理性思维的有机协调发展,因而难以实现从感性认识到理性思考的飞跃。三是课堂教学注重“提分”而非思辨能力培养。英语作为一门语言,学习的主要目的应该是为了具备交际能力。然而在教学过程中大多数教师为了让学生顺利通过四六级考试,注重提分教育,忽视了对学生思辨能力的培养和英语学习兴趣的培养,致使有些大学生根本不了解英语的文化背景,不能有效地认同西方的文化,这样就使学生学习英语应有的兴趣丧失,求知欲降低,思辨能力的培养更是无从谈起。

  三、构建大学英语教学思辨能力培养模式的'对策分析

  针对现阶段大学英语教学中思辨能力培养现状,笔者结合大学英语教学实际和自己对思辨能力的认识,针对性地提出了构建构建大学英语教学思辨能力培养模式的具体对策:一是下大力气提高师生对思辨能力培养的认识。在大学英语教学过程中,培养大学生具备良好的思辨能力在一定程度上决定了新时期创新型英语人才的培养质量,也是提高大学生综合竞争能力的重要方面,由此可见在大学英语教学中培养大学生具备良好的思辨能力具有十分重要的作用。这样就要求通过宣传等有效途径不断强化广大在校师生不断提高对培养思辨能力重要性的认识,注重在教学中培养思辨能力。同时,高校应不断为英语教师创造培训和研讨的机会,让广大教师之间通过课程观摩等方式进行思辨能力培养横向交流,使他们通过不断学习积累具备培养学生思辨能力的系统知识,促使教师成为思辨能力培养的构建者与行动者,也可使得教师在英语思辨能力的培养过程中最大限度地发挥其能动性和与带动性。[2]高校还应该不断组织精干教师研究系统的培养方法,定期对大学生的思辨能力培养效果进行检验,尽全力帮助大学生具备思辨能力,从而在激烈的人才竞争中增加优势。二是注重对教学评估体系的创新。创新教学评估体系,不仅能打破传统教育思想对广大师生的束缚,也是大学英语教学走向素质教育的客观需要。在教学评估中加入思辨能力评估,并将其评价定位多个维度,课堂教学中思辨能力的培养和运用、考试测评中思辨能力的培养和运用,使学生考试压力降低,从而有心思、有精力、有时间去深入思考和分析学习英语过程中遇到的难题,通过深入推理和探讨使自己的思辨能力得到培养和提高。三是注重对英语课程设置的不断优化。英语课堂设置大多以培养学生的语言基础和语言技能为重,缺乏针对思辨能力培养的专题课程设置,这就需要不断进行课程优化,适当增加提高大学生思辨能力的专题课程或专题活动,使大学生具备一个良好的培养思辨能力的环境和氛围。

  总之,大学英语教学中注重思辨能力的培养并不断构建有效的教学模式才能使大学生具备思辨能力,才能在学习和工作中对问题进行理性的分析和判断,才能具备独立思考能力,才能在众多人才中脱颖而出。
